My wife and I are so thankful for the local church we attend. It is rare to find a larger church with such a family atmoshpere.
THE STORY:
A few weeks ago one of the young men in our local church fell into drugs. Long story of abuse from childhood, etc....... He was getting ready to leave his family and head out. Our youth pastor and Assistant pastor got wind and without hesitation went to him and prayed with him and refuse to let him go. After prayer the young man asked for help.
They got hold of a christian drug rehab in Alabama ( BTW, fully underwritten by a large ministry that is critized so often.) No bed left, a two year waiting list. God moved and they made a bed available.
Now the Christmas story, not only did the church commit to taking care of his family, provisions and everything for the year long program. But this morning our associate pastor bought the tickets and together flew back with him to Alabama to get him checked in. No sheep gone to far to be given up on.
