I think that the RP supporters are just more "rabid" than your average guy. He is a hit on the net with certain sectors, and raises a lot of money, but it is not showing up in the polls. He is still in the single digits in every poll I have seen.

If Paul DID get elected, (which won't happen) he couldn't get ANYTHING done, because Congress and most of the country is not on board with him on the whole dismantle the government and shut ourselves in a box thing.

SHOW ME THE NUMBERS! At least Huck has REAL support from LOTS of people. Talk about GRASS ROOTS, Huck was getting slammed by EVERY commentator before his surge started. Why did it start? Folks started reading about him and found out what he is all about, and LIKED it!

I am on another board that is loaded with Ron Paul supporters, and a lot of them say that if RP doesn't get the nomination, they won't vote. Now THERE'S a way to get things done!

If I felt so strongly, I would at LEAST write him in....but then he will probably run as a third party candidate when he doesn't get the nod.....seems like a power hungry guy to me, but that's just my opinion.

I am not saying this as an assault toward you RP supporters, just my opinion of the man, so don't unleash vitriol on me, please. :?

Nope, Sorry

Still no good. Too many things burried in the past including covering up some wrong doing by his son. Also, I have a hard time voting for a man who won't show his past messages, even if he needs to explain why they may not be how he believes now.

I'd publish anything I preached, even to bad stuff that I am not proud of in the interest of full disclosure. if he can't be that honest, he won't get my vote.

Well bud, since Jesus ain't runnin' and we're all sinners, I guess you just won't be votin'.......and THAT my friend, does not help the process.

Good luck in your search, but let me save you some time. Stop looking.

Well ain't that just like a person who drank the kool-aid--You're just as bad as the Paulites here at work. "If you don't like my guy then you must be crazy" BAH!

I raised serious questions about your candidate of choice and said I wanted to see something better of him and you basically tell me to get lost instead of telling me, WITHOUT the flashy ads and scripted videos, WHY I should vote for him. You're gonna win a lot of support for your candidate that way.

Give me the facts, nothing but the facts, without the hype and glamor shots. WHY should I vote for your guy? I don't want a video about how nice he is or some fluff on his family or religion. What is his position on the Economy and Taxes. How does he feel about copyright and intellectual property laws? What is his stance on Freedom of Religion and Separation of Church and state? Don't give me labels like conservative or liberal, give me where he stands, how he has voted, or what laws he signed into being or vetoed out of existance. I don't care what he says about Iraq because if EVERYONE were honest, they'd say we can't pull out right now and we have to stay, probably for 20 years or more. I want to know how he feels about Defense and Defense spending, School Funding and REAL educational improvement instead of hollow promises and empty budgets.

IF Huckabee is half of what his press says he is, then he may do in a pinch, but I just hate picking a president by trying to find the one who is going to do the least damage. I've had to do that ever since Reagan and it's getting a little old.

Whatever happened to the good, balanced candidate? The one I wouldn't be afraid to leave my son or wife with overnight in a pinch?I don't care what "party" he's in, just that he makes sense and supports the right things

Shoot, I'd even take Crazy Perot over some of these guys. At least with him I had a chart that showed what he was going to do :P

BTW "bud", next time read where it says Author and you'll see that my name is Andy, not bud, so please use it next time instead of the derogatory use of a term of endearment and I doubt you'll get such a vitriolic response and I AM gonna vote, I just don't know if it'll be for one of these guys or a write-in---Maybe a good business man like South Korea just voted in.

There's a huge difference in "right to privacy" and "honesty". The refusal to make a public display of his sermons isn't an honesty issue. I have hundreds of sermons filed away, many of them "churchy" and arrogant. I wouldn't show them either.

Right to privacy? They're public sermons that he preached in a venue open to the public. Simply because of that they should be available for people to view now.

Not so. I have sermons that I preached in a public venue, but the audience didn't see every little note I made (sometimes never shared due to the Spirit's restraint). Do you think God would be pleased for a minister to now expose things that the Holy Spirit restrained? Or what about the embarrassing errors in spelling? Do you think that isn't right to privacy either?

The sermon inquest is over the top! Ministers have a right to privacy with their notes. I have often given edited versions of my sermon notes to those who requested, but I will rarely give the exact notes which are for my eyes only. My wife doesn't even see my notes... you think I'm going to show someone else's wife? :D

Did Huck say he had a degree in theology during one of the debates?
What brand Baptist is he?

Southern, from what I've heard.

I'm pretty worn out on all of the evangelical support for big government, which is what Huckabee loves. If being evangelical requires big-government Republican loyalties, then I'm not an evangelical.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).

Many of these things are available on his website, www.mikehuckabee.com. If you do a little research, you will find most of what you desire. The way I found out about him was to dig and research myself. Neither Huckabee, nor I, have the time to give you a line item list of answers to your questions.

You come across as someone who is sitting on his couch with his arms folded waiting for someone to dump your idea of the perfect candidate in your lap. I hope that you are going to expend some effort yourself to find out what each candidate stands for instead of depending on me, Drudge, or Al Franken to tell you what (s)he thinks.

I apologize for obviously offending you, Andy. It was my Good ol' Boy coming out...thus the punctuation. Have some coffee and relax.
