preannouncement of a new "geek" forum...

I know that there are a few interested, or at least would like to read more about Biblical Archaeology. As you know this is one of my hobbies and something I am very interested in. I am currently a premier member of the Biblical Archaeology Society. as a membership benefit, we have a forum for discussion.

That forum was not very well used, among the BAS members, partially because it was using it's own format and was very difficult to navigate and track threads.

The Good news is they aer getting ready to launch a new site, using more updated forum software, very similar to what is here, though the software is not the same, it "feels" the same.

And a major change, is that they have decided that it will be open to the public as well. so, if you are interested, please let me know in this thread, ask any questions etc. I can see what I can do to get some answers. I can't release the site URL, yet, since it is still in beta-mode. but should prove to be very interesting indeed.
