We are flying.....we have needed this for sooooo long.
He owns Inspirational Media Corp. and he got these from an upgrade!!!!!
We are overwhelmed!!!!!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!!!!

Great news. I so many times get totally overwhelmed at the way God does things. In the least expected way sometimes.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

Ron, I was kind of teasing, but, hey, Mama didn't raise no fools!

We're preparing to do joint services in a school, but our buildings are used by two other congregations, so we can't strip our tech gear -- we are essentially having to duplicate everything.

We're seeking to acquire (through purchases and, since you asked, donations):
• A new projector, 4000 lums+ (Billy Broach is helping us with pricing on that)
• A big, portable projection screen (Billy, again)
• We have an "extra" 16 channel Mackie sound board, but it is a non-powered board, so we need an amplifier for that.
• A set of 5 or 6 vocal mics for the worship teams/cables/stands
• A 100' snake with stage box for the 16 channel board
• Eventually, some form of in-ear or headphone monitors, to eliminate the problem of stage wedges (and the need to lug them around) - my dream monitor system is the Aviom paired with in-ears... someday... when we get piles of cash!
• Portable equipment rack(s) like roadies take on tour would make portable church easier
• A short range FM transmitter for Spanish simultaneous translation (I think the folks in Washington State have experience with this in State meetings)

...and on it goes.

Can I give a praise report?

In today's mail I received a generous donation from Paul's organization, and (I hope he stuck around to see this) ONE LOVE sent a smaller, but hugely appreciated donation. God has some wonderful people in all kinds of churches and organizations, and we are so thankful for those who have shared in the adventure with money, discounts, and contributions.

These are the best. I played around with them a couple months ago and they are on my wish/dream list for our church.

Let me encourage you all NOT to get the ear monitors....theyare a serious waste of cash...for our applications.

One of my members owns Inspirational Media Corp....he does sound, lights, and media in 5000 seat venues and up....he always wires the stage for wedges....because they always seem to go back to them...

The ear monitors are a sound man's night mare....you can't please everyone

I know about in-ears and sound man issues, but that's the advantage of the Avioms.

It has a central controller that sends a raw, multi-channel signal out, and each performer has his own small control unit with the ability totally pre-set and control their own individual monitor mix! The sound man is completely out of the loop and off the hook!

During sound checks, each player/singer tweaks what he wants to hear, in what proportion, and can lock that preset in memory... and can make minor adjustments on the fly. Each musician unplugs and takes the box with them, and just plugs back in and hits the preset. (Or MULTIPLE presets for different songs or set lists.)

That's why I want them for our church. Let the singers/musicians controll their own mix.

We use wedges for the front of stage and ear buds for drummers, keyboard player & guitars. So far, it has been ok. Better than wedges for us, with a shallow stage.

The biggest problem I ever had with wireless ear monitors was that I once had them interfere with our wireless mics. You couldn't run the mic and the earset at the same time. Just like all wireless units, you got to watch those frequency ranges.

Sorry DR. Ron. as a sound dude for over 25 plus years. I want the Aviom systm also. The constant struggle of each muscian wanting ther cake and eat it too ,cannot be done with wedges. They want to hear the Piano, Worship leader and themselves. . Most times if you let the musciains have there way you can shut the house speakers down. We have two house speakers and two floor wedges. House is barely on. The tape out signal comes from the House Main so I keep enough in them to record etc. Our stage is only 16 x 20 if that right now. (Ps We did pack in about 190 people this past sunday. PTL)

Now I do know that sometimes you will need a speaker setup . That would be where a Small Hot Spot (plugged into a AVIOM box) could be used but as far as huge floor monitors. NADA

Silent Stage. All Electronic instruments with exceptions of your wind section. Ahhhhhh

When we switched from the acoustic drums to electric drums . Whoa I was happy. I did not have about 10 pairs of eyes looking at me with their fingers in there ears.

I attended a large church a few years ago. Sanctuary seat about 900, Huge praise and worship team/band. The sound was so mushy. After church I went up on stage. Counted about 16 or 17 floor wedges. House had a center cluster of 3 or 4 speakers. Where do you think the people in the audience was hearing the music from ????

Me too. I love having the control of all instruments. Drums are electronic, all guitars accoustic & electric all run thru the House.
