One Love my friend, Out of the choices you gave I will recommend LG. They are quite nice and I have seen and heard great things. You want to go with LCD unless you get a steal on a plasma and I mean a steal. First of all LCD is light as a feather and plasma weighs a ton. Plasma cannot be laid over as it is filled with a gas and will cause damage to the unit if laid over. Also the gas has to be recharged after so many hours of use. That's alot of hours but LCD never has to be recharged. Just think; How long have you had your digital/LCD alarm clock or watch. The only other thing I would consider besides LCD is DLP. It is a rear projection unit, flat screen, but not flat panel. It is slightly bulkier than an LCD but just as light and nice.

prob 50" I also looked at a 47" I dont want something to big but the house im moving into in jan has a nice living room that would be perfect for one. I also heard If a plasma messes up it cost a fortune to fix and lcd do not usually have problems. I think 47" lcd was $250 MORE THEN A 50" PLASMA so I figured going with LCD would be the way to go. I am going again tomorrow to see if I can get a dining set and bedorom set delivered with the tv. The only thing is they will not set up the suround sound  Being that I am partially disabled in the sense I can not lift anything heavy because of my neck and back I will have to have someone else do that.
But thats ok my emplyess will be moving me

Just don't let FireDog set it up unless you have deep pockets and like to throw away money. :P

I have the LCD in a Polaroid. I only have the 32 inch now to fit our built-in bookcase, but would definitely consider upgrading to the larger Polaroid later.

The other difference, not mentioned, between LCD and Plasma is that the Plasma's have the glass type screen and are more like the older televisions in that respect. The LCD's have more of a computer style screen that blurs if you press, etc...

Likewise, I have heard that LCD's are easier and less expensive to repair if necessary.

I've also heard the plasma's are extremely hot.
