There are probably several of you that know Jeremi who led worship at youth conferences and the Assembly mass choir and is the son of Dwight and Londa Richardson. He recently took Jodi McBrayer's place in the vocal group Avalon. Go Jeremi!!

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.)—Nov. 6, 2007—Dynamic vocal foursome Avalon welcomes new member Jeremi Richardson to the group. Richardson joins the award-winning artist in time for the release of its ninth studio album, Another Time, Another Place: Timeless Christian Classics, on Feb. 26.

Originally from Cleveland, Tenn., Richardson and his wife Amy currently reside in Orlando, Fla. where he is a member of the Disney groups Voices of Liberty and Four for a Dollar. He has toured singing and leading worship all over the United States, Jamaica, Bermuda and Israel. His voice can be heard on numerous recordings by Tribe Studios, Jeff Arthur Productions, WiseGuys Productions, Walt Disney Studios, Word Music, Brentwood-Benson, SpiritSound Music, and Integrity Music.

“I have been a longtime fan of Avalon,” says Richardson. “I first saw the group on tour with Crystal Lewis my sophomore year of college. It was that same evening I made the decision to pursue a singing career. I am so honored to be part of the group and look forward to what the future holds for Avalon.”

Excellent! Kimmy and I saw him sing back in May at the mouse's house in Orlando. Maybe he can breath new life into the group.

AWESOME!!! Singing along with one of my favorites Greg Long and the girls!!! I can't wait! Do you know if he will re-locate here to Music City?

I would think he would relocate since the rest of the group members live there. By the way, he'll be the third Lee U alumnus to be in the group.

Jann (Potter) Long actually attended Lee when I did. She sang with Lee Singers and New Harvest -also, we were in Spanish class together. Melissa Green (don't know her married name) was at Lee in the late 90's/early 2000's. She was in Lee Singers. I ran into all of them, including Greg, at Lee Homecoming a few years ago.

Other notable Lee alumni: Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts) and Scott Stapp (Creed) were there when I was there, although I didn't know them. Mark Harris was also a Lee Singer.

Got this info in an email. Be on the lookout for Jeremi with Avalon on an upcoming Billy Graham special.

As many of you know, Jeremi Richardson (son of Dwight and Londa) recently joined the multi-award winning Christian group "Avalon." I received word from Londa this morning that we have the opportunity to view one of his first performances with the group. On December 4, Avalon will be singing on the Billy Graham Special dedicated to Ruth Graham. The program will air at 8:00 PM on Chattanooga's ABC affiliate, Channel 9. If you are not in the Cleveland area and want to view the program, you may visit http://billygraham.org/tv_index.asp to see if the program is airing in your area (please note the program is being shown on various days, December 1-9, at various times, in various locations).

I'm sitting here at work listening to my iPod and Avalon's new album Another Time, Another Place and thought I'd let you guys know I love it. I am getting a good ole' fashioned blessin' listening to them redo these classic Christian songs like "God is in Control," "For the Sake of the Call," "The Basics of Life," “People Need the Lord,” among others. I love those songs and the group does an awesome job with them. I think the CD comes out in February so I just wanted to give you a heads up if you love those songs and/or Avalon. FYI – The CD was recorded before Jeremi joined.
