Attend yes. Every time I go to FOTW, it's over run by members of the splinter groups. Support though? I doubt it. As you and OneLove admit, the TCOG guys ain't sending any money to keep up the place they "love".

BTW, onelove, I've been impressed with your attitude and spirit since you came on Jude2. Guys you TCOG guys aren't so bad after all. I'm joking BTW, I have a few friends in TCOG who I've always had respect for.

CPMA..........

Why not HGUF??????

Because of a twisted desire not actually to upkeep any historical marker they just liked the letters because it made them feel warm and fuzzy about being thieves.

Pretty bold statement. How are we thieves? It has more to do with sticking to what has worked. How are we thieves?

Response: WE?

What does VLB stand for? I could think of a few good ones. 8)

Thieves because they don't have any of the markers why would they have a CPMA?

It is identity theft. They are not the Church of God of Prophecy. They ain't even the Church of God. The fact that they have no markers but claim a CPMA should be some sort of sign to the sane.

Maybe they could make a marker out of the back alley that their mutiny was hatched in.

What kind of a life it must be running around claiming we are them.

Thank you I appreciate that very much. You are correct we love the place but dont send money. That would be correct. Whether that is right I cant really say. If we all in many groups were sending money the next thing you would have is people wanting to dictate what the markers say, which is only the privlage of COGOP. But it would seem to maybe not be bad to send to a fund or something. Maybe since it is becoming a theme park "so to speak" it could get help from NC... Surely Murphy benefits from the park

Again with mutiny. BAsed upon your theory you need to go back to COG. Because you are supporting Mutiny by staying
Is markers only associated with FOTW now? What is a marker? Next you are not a member of TCOG so , just come renew your covenant then take your complaints to the Q and S commititee
sorry I could not help myself. You still did not tell me how we are stealing. Stealing would imply one does not know where the funds are going or that they are being misled. Which is not the case.

Response: Are you over here arguing the righteousness of the TCog and don't know what a marker is???

I can see how that they would hide the fact that they don't own any since they stole their indentity from someone else in a mutiny, of sorts, THEY JUST DIDN"T GET THE SHIP or all the mates so they send out letters like this.

I wouldn't tell anyone what CPMA meant if I were them either. It would leave to much that could not logically be explained.

I like you!! 8)

BTW we have gone back to the CoG and repented. When you all are big enough to do the same I'll shut my mouth about your movement.

Billy Wilson preached a wonderful sermon about splitting an Assembly or so ago and hit that nail squarely on the head. Splitting is problematic. We were wrong to split from the CoG and they were wrong to split with us.

We did not steal any identity remember you dont associate yourself with our kind of teaching
So Cog apologized as wel? Are you willing ot apologize for the wrongs made to those who voiced there concerns and were ignored. They were apart of the assembly to you know. Again do not associate me with James Nabors  The day I send a letter to cogop pastors you may jump all over me
I know why he did that, as I said he did not get as many as he thought he would so he is going after any Cogop person that still holds to the "old paths" Yet he has the addresses somehow. I give him credit he does his homework, sadly he does.
As a note I have heard some in TCOG say they did not like having the name CPMA since we were not having a marking program other then building HQ.
But it is not stealing. SHow me the patent the COGOP has on CPMA or TCOG. Our name is different leagally then both COG and COGOP so that should be suffice my fellow Brother

As much as I don't like to I will defend TCoG some. TCoG has some markers that they have set up so they have every right to use the word/term/phrase/acronym CPMA. In fact CoGoP had every opportunity to copyright or trademark the acronyms and chose not to.
Christians are lively stones according to Peter and therefore all are markers.

So a person can be copyrighted? 8) :D

Seriously, the better name for CPMA as used in TCoG would be "Church Property Monetary Agent"... The name was originally created for supporting markers here and abroad. Unless TCoG is doing that type of ministry, I would agree that in principle there appears to be some false advertisement.

Initially TCOG did change the meaning of the Acronym to Church Property & Maintainence Association. There was wide spread satisfaction among the membership and it was eventually changed by popular request a couple years later.

BTW, LIke FQ said, TCOG does have a few markers -- some are orginal CPMA or property markers from COGOP days that were sold to them, etc.

The reason TCOG does not send any funds, or consider doing so, to FOW is the changes made to the markers that do not reflect traditional beliefs of the movement (i.e. the Arise Shine marker changes, and the 26th teaching marker changes).

Poimen,

You have hit it on the head. Good job. I remember them displaying the items from the old Assembly tabernacle. Not the one that was destroyed and a chic fila on the grounds now but the old tabernacle. The star, scepter and crown was recovered from that building. Anyway TCOG has been very upfront with what it does with the CPMA funds and has also not been challenged by the assembly. Which makes it ok, legal and not stealing
As I said as well and Poimen repeated with the markers being changed the last thing COGOP would want is other groups wanting those changed back or even changed to something else. We dont own the grounds it is not our rsponsibility. Can you imagine what you would say if we tried to claim some kinda ownership to the grounds. Also it has been widely known and said it is a bible theme park welcome to all, so it would be absurd to assume one group of people shoud be paying to keep up the grounds that they dont even own. I think Murphy could help because lets be honest FOTW does bring people to Murphy which would be a tourist attraction.

I was an eyewitness to the same Assembly you speak of. There is a difference in being ignored and being asked to submit to leadership after being heard. They were heard....for days!! I would like to add here that those that were in opposition were an extremely small minority and included in those still standing were many children.

They were counseled by their elders and their leadership and were asked to submit. They refused to submit to those over them in the Lord.

This is NOT being ignored. This is stubbornly refusing to budge because you don't get your way.

Were you there and if so, how old were you?

That's interesting. What markers were sold to them? and Which of the new factions own them now?

NO I was not there I was backslid. As I said I have the minutes and many videos. In which I agree is not the same as being there, no arguement there. Which part are you refering to? Assuming by your response you think COGOP did no wrong in all this. I am not so small minded to say hurt was not created and things may not have been handled correctly but hopefully you do know enough about this to say the same. Thats all.

Submission is not always correct in many decisions. I could not submit to a new financial plan a few years ago because my conscience and the Lord wouldnt allow me to. I could have submitted but just as others we felt it was really a wrong move.
If COGOP wanted to pass something that would be completely against your biblical beliefs would you just agree to them, even if you beleived it to be sin. Just agree to follow smething you felt was wrong, surely not. It must be realized ones perspective can be different then anothers.
Are you refering to Billy Murray or the rings?

1. They have the scepter, star, and crown arch from the one of the doorways at the old Central avenue Tabernacle. It will erected as marker in front of TCOG's HQ.

2. Seems I recall they have some old temporary markers, before the permanent markers were erected at FOW. They may be members or individuals in TCOG or associated with TCOG -- rather than TCOG itself.

3. A TCOG related family purchased the Tomlinson home and marker on Gautt Street in Cleveland. Thy gave TCOG permission to use the marker.

4. I think I recall TCOG erecting a marker of some kind at the South Cleveland church, were the Solemn Assembly was called for.
