Drew Carey Pentecostal

Postby Dr. Ron » January 13th, 2008, 6:35 pm

I was watching a portion of the show..."The power of 10" Drew Carey is the host. He had a question for a contestant that asked what percentage of Americans had read the bible from cover to cover....

He then said...."I sure have....I attend/attended ? a pentecostal church and we did scripture memorization.

Just thought that was interesting !

He also served in the Marine Corps.

I'd read or heard once that he grew up pentecostal, and that's really interesting.

I saw that episode too! The contestant said they had not read the entire Bible & Drew even suggested they visit a bible bookstore as there were several different "Read the Bible in a Year" devotionals that had it broken down with a segment to read each day to keep you on track.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised - but I was quite intrigued that he said he had attended a Pentecostal church.

Here is the text of a PBS show by a Travis Smiley guy. He and Drew talk about being Pentecostal in the text. Pretty neat.
