RIP Mr. Wildcat

[jinjer]

Bill Keightley, longtime equipment manager for the University of Kentucky Wildcats Men's basketball team, has died at the age of 81. He was fondly known as Mr. Wildcat. He started his career at UK in the '60s. He and Cawood Ledford, the voice of the Wildcats before he passed, were the only 2 non-athletes to have a jersey retired. Mr. Keightley was also inducted into the UK hall of fame. I believe him to not only be the face of the UK men's BB team, but the University itself. Many in the world of college basketball, including coaches and officials knew him.

This is my memorial to Mr. Keightley, Mr. Wildcat!!

I tried to add a picture, but all it shows is the location of the pic.

I am sorry to hear about this. Just a few weeks ago I was pointing him out to a friend during a UK game and telling them about him.
