So Jude 2 has OZZ Police, kind of like PC Police. So much for being "free-wheeling" and none judgmental. Perhaps that's my point, it does seem more acceptable to "OZZ" about the past failures of the COGOP. I fully except that past generation fell far short of perfection and were deeply flawed. That said I'm not going to "drink the Kool-Aid" of the current generation just because we have the position of "hindsight" over those who went before us. Past generation errors in some areas does not make this generation right in all.

Shane Queener sent this to me. Many know his granddad as the great DH Queener. Anyone that knows Shane knows him to be abover reproach, a man of God, with integirty above most all others including overseers and bishops. He must have learned great things from his grandfather and for all those that talk or preach about DH Queener, if you can't laugh about this then quit referring to the man in your sermons. Good grief, he said enough folks would be left to carry on the Assembly if the rapture took place in the middle of one.

I'm having more fun posting then you might think. Just playing the game, see'in how far we really want to go. It just sounds like I'm "belly aching". Determining someone's emotion condition based on their writing in a forum like this is difficult at best. It's much like the parable of the Two Sons. The father asked both to work in the field, one son said "I will" but did not, the other said "I will not", but latter repented and did. Jesus asked the question, "which son did the father's will". Some people will support with their mouth, yet their actions make them a liar. Others will ask "why", yet they do what is asked of them. The proof is in the willingness to answer the call of the ministry, willing live where you are called, live by faith on what the church provides, faithfully minister to the church and community, and fulfill the things required by those over you. Or in plain talk I don’t say “yes, yes, it’s the greatest thing since the Reformation” while closing my wallet. I am fully invested in this thing.

In response to the FQ's post.
I went through it line by line and most of it was between 20 an 30 years in the past; and some of it I have never seen, or done or heard of anyone doing, in 40+ years in the COGOP.

Was I offended? No.
I realized that the writer is ignorant of todays COGOP.

I am personally famliar with about 10 COGOP's. Of those, only 2 are "with it" and living in this century. The other 8 are still back in the 80's or whatever you want to call it.


Just because most of you COGOPers on here have seen the "light" doesn't mean that all have. Thank the Lord, a majority have so the denomination (there, I said it - that one should be on the list too) can start making that turn.


I don't believe the writer of this list is out of touch. I do believe that many in COGOP need this list and would be better off reading this and dealing with each item, as the Lord leads. However, since most of them aren't on J2, that probably won't happen.

I respectfully suggest that your view of the current climate in COGOP is less accurate than you think, and, without knowing which ten churches, I'd say the eight old-school churches you know don't look anything like what I have seen represented in recent Assemblies. I see lots of NORMAL Christians, enjoying the changes.
