That is a direct reference to his statement that "christians should pray" for the victims AND the perpetrators.

Don't back off of it now. If you said it, stand by your statement.

The Bible says that if i offend you, you are to approach me about it privately. That wasnt very "christlike" of you make it an open issue in front of the whole world. Then you use a phrase like "dont back off of it now blah blah blah" to instigate some sort of "fight"......all while questioning my reactions to someone raping someone that i care about as being "christlike".

Come on you are being adolescent about it now. As long as you dont rape someone close to me, you shouldnt have to worry about my reaction to it. And NO i am not implying that you are a rapist!

Gal. 2:11 said that Paul withstood him to his face because he was to be blamed. Of course this isn't quite the same senerio, and I'm not claiming to be Paul. However, I did think you crossed the line with what you said to chris. And I wasn't trying to bait you into a "fight", just merely saying not to back off of you statement when you were clearly talking to and about him. Thats all, nothing more.

Look, I don't have a problem with you or anything but we seem to be living in a time when other believers can't "call someone out" on what they say without being told "hey, you can't say that to me! I'm working out my own salvation and am above reproach" (not your words, just an example)

Anyway, it's a done deal, I still love ya in the Lord. :)

I've been watching this debate and I'm not on ANY side...however, I would like to add to your statement...That we're ALSO living in a day when it seems that a person can't make a comment, statement, or joke without someone being "easily" offended.

Not saying that "you" were, but some people on here tend to jump the gun without clarifying the true thought or intent behind the post. Not saying "you" did.

The emotion can easily be misunderstood when reading the typed words of someone. Private messages are a great way to stay out of fights.

Blessings to both of you and hope you both stay around.

Also...Brian....tell your brother to come back.....Sometimes it does get a little heated on here...but it's all fun and normally good fellowship!

Gal. 2:11 said that Paul withstood him to his face because he was to be blamed.

And that's exactly what Paul did and yet not what you have done. You are in VA and he is in TN. J2 is not face to face communication so you are using the scripture out of context. Also this verse does not give anyone the right nor encourage anyone to do as you have done or even confront a brother in the Lord. Paul was called of God to minister to the Gentiles. Peter showed up in the midst of his missionary work and being hypocritical. If God calls you to a specific work and then J Vu shows up an acts contrary then by all means set him straight.
I have piped unto you, and ye have not danced!

I did say that it wasn't the same scenario. :) And I only used that reference to touch on how people will say that other christians don't have the right to even speak to other christians about what they should not be doing.
Jamais Vu made a direct connection about VA being the place for rapists because he seen that Chris lived in VA. He then said a "real father" wouldn't just pray for his children if they were being raped. Which is not at all what Chris said. He simply made the point that rather than wanting blood from the perpetrator that people should pray for them so these things don't happen (or at least reduce them) in the first place.

Nothing Chris said implied he would "just lay there" and pray (and do nothing else) while his children were being raped or molested. Thats just down right ridiculous and I think you know that.

My post to PastorDaniel seems to be gone???? I replied to him and and said he was right. That I probably jumped the gun a bit too fast and knew that forums like this was hard to really get a true emotional connection.

Anyway, it's good now, I'm calm, he's calm. Its a done deal. :)

God bless
