My guess is Kirk Rising from NC. :)

Honestly though what does an International Youth Coordinator do that our local churches cannot, save for planning national youth conferences and all. Eliminating the position would save HQ some money and allow them to put it toward helping less fortunate churches in North America.

i think the better question is what could it do. i dont think the position is being used like it should. i think some locations for regional youth conventions that would excite some folks would be good. i think you have to get out of the office and stay in direct contact with youth ministers at the local level. it could help. i know that since georgia invested in a full time youth minister at the state level it has helped in just one year. its what you put in to the position. the former state youth director did a wonderful job but did not have the support and stability that we see now. getting out of the office and into the local churchs is key in that position. allowing open fedback from local level youth pastors is good. maybe a questionaire sent to local churchs each year would be good. the position is the most important position for our future as a church if used in the proper way.

I did hear a whisper of Kirk Rising. But the person couldn't confirm it.

I was on the phone with Kirk yesterday, and he said "If you didn't hear it from me, it ain't true." :lol:

Palma will be replaced, and I have heard (unofficially) a short list of three names.
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

Honestly guys, the stuff he produces at an event is greater than anything else we have in this organization. We better be thankful that Hollywood or Universal Studios hasn't picked him up yet!!!

Lets do ourselves a favor and make him International Youth Director. He could bring a sense of youthfulness to the office and he develops great relationships with youth.

Kirk for International Youth Director!

welcome aboard Kirk. Glad to see you aboard. :lol: :lol:

This post was by one of our youth in NC who read this thread, got excited, joined jude2, and posted for the first time. I read the post and did not like the way it was going and I asked the person to remove it.

Rumors abound. Seriously, If you don't hear it form me personally, it's not true.

Thanks to all who post to this thread for your understanding and sensitivity to this issue. God bless.
