Let me say this:
1. I'm true Crimson. I love the Tide, period.
2. Our boosters cheated, we paid the price. I don't care who told who.
3. The people who have suffered directly from the fallout at Bama around Albert Means may speak for themselves, and the fog of accusations and proved fact is still too much for me to make sense of. Wisdom is justified of her children, and I figure one of these days the plain, simple truth of everything will be distilled in ways that do make sense of it. Until then, as far as I'm concerned, the matter is over and the people suing Phil Fulmer left and right have had and will continue to have their days in court over it. More of them have lost than have won. IMO, it is cheap and shoddy to keep serving the man with summonses and subpoenas every year at SEC Media Days. It is even more ridiculous for Bama fans to cheer it. It is an embarrassment.
4. I do hold contempt for the NCAA. No apologies, no punches pulled. They had it in for Bama and, IMO, still do. That's a chip on my shoulder that won't go away easily. Gene Marsh, who was one of my law professors and who represented Alabama before the NCAA Committee on Infractions now sits on that committee. He sold us out. He remains, IMO, a sellout and is not worthy of teaching at the UA School of Law. He's a small man with a small spine who did more harm to us than UT ever could.
5. I love to hate UT in the same way that their fans love to hate Bama. It is mutual contempt for each other's schools and football teams. It should be fought on the field by the players and coaches, not off the field by officials and boosters. Fan smack is just part of the deal, and that's okay. I talk it, too.
6. Roll Tide Roll.
