Thunder that is the name of the team our city failed to keep. At least we have our memories and name of the team.

What a dumb name...I think mascots should be something tangible...animals, people, etc. and be plural. "GO THUNDER!" just sounds dumb.

Well at least they're not alone. We have the Utah Jazz (not only is that team name not plural, the pairing of location and nickname make no sense) and the Orlando Magic (ok that one isn't so bad).

I want to show up at the first OKC NBA game (it's only a 5 hour drive for me) with an old Gary Payton Sonics jersey on and hold up a crass sign directed at Clay Bennett.

That being said my Portland Trail Blazers are looking good this year
