We know, we know (Brodie Croyle injured again)

Postby dolfan » September 9th, 2008, 5:22 am

A Kansas City sports writer said this yesterday:

"Now the Chiefs have to face up to something very real: The chosen quarterback, Brodie Croyle, cannot stay healthy. It isn't his fault -- this isn't a toughness question. Everyone says the guy is as tough as a Ford truck. But the harsh reality is that his body, for whatever reason, cannot stand up to the NFL pounding. And you can't build a football team around a quarterback who cannot stay on the field."

He's just not built for it. He can hold a clipboard and maybe substitute at times, but this guy's body is a lemon. His arm's a Boeing, but his body's a lemon.

There seems to be an issue with Kansas City and St. Louis QB's as far as staying healthy. Must be something in the water in those parts.

Croyle is a paper bag. He couldn't take a lick at Bama, either. He's easy to sack, slow of foot, and folds like a tent. I loved it when he would zing the ball, and boy could he, but he's got no durability. He just ain't built for the NFL.
