Jeter Passes The Babe

Postby Paully_44 » September 10th, 2008, 5:41 am

In hits by a Yankee 2,519.

while I am no Yankee fan, anytime a mark set by The Babe is met or passed is still a pretty big deal.

So many recorders of the "Babe" has gone. In so a short time in the modern era. You think "S" has anything to do with this?

Will agree and i hope he is clean.
With the modern era also things like harder bats, recoil balls, more games for season. Will give all most any average ball player a Big advantage to broke some of the most elite records.

I'm not a big fan of the Yankee either. But a fan of the Babe.
Most don't know his first two years he was a pitcher and a very good one.
