Music in church

Mostly I am blessed by and enjoy the most music that is played by talented, annointed and God-called people. Too many churches have people leading who are not passionate about music. And, even talented and annointed people should practice regularly to hone the gift God gave them. Worship should not be a canned experience for any service on any day. The sermon is God's message to us...the message God intends to give to us through the vessel of God he placed over us in the church. Worship is our effort to speak back to God our adoration and worship...how dare we not give our best in talking back to a God who loves us like He does.

I will say this - I'm not a huge fan of listening to the same worship songs on the radio as are done in church. I loved the old days when those worlds were a little more separate. On the radio you might hear a good Christian pop song and then go to church and hear a Hillsong worship song. Now, I'm almost worn out with a song before I even get to church.

Yes, but, some of them are still great songs, but, I can see what you're saying. But perhaps it helps some of the congregation learn some new songs (if they listen to the radio that is)
