It is a type of polyhedron, a decahdron to be specific. A solid shape with many (poly) faces (hedron), since this one has ten faces it is a deca(ten)hedron. Yes it is one of the dice shapes for playing D&D.

Maybe there could be a D&D meets/versus Fields of the Wood game with chutes and ladders type boards or worlds using the steps, mountains, and paths at FoW. A good versus evil sorta thang!

wow. I only have a lev.2 Youth Pastor and his KJV hasn't any upgrades yet. (he does have the +2 preaching suit and +5 gospel shoes, though - haven't tried combining them yet.)
