and oil prices have dropped today

It's true they have, I head it on that right wing news station.

I don't really think it's OPEC but Saudi Arabia. The Saudi's said they were cutting production so I think they strong armed the other OPEC nations. We would have been better served to invade this desert wasteland and set up shop than to invade Iraq. Then we could keep a real watch over Saddam, the Ayatollah, and rid the world of the radical Islam non sense that proceeds from the Muslim "motherland".

Our gas prices went up 20 cents per gallon yesterday but I thought it was because people would be driving more for Christmas trips and they wanted the extra money.

Where did I say that?

Your perception is off.

My point was and is that the Saudis are the real terrorists and are dictating what happens in the Middle East. We could have went into Arabia and cleaned house, not stealing the oil, but overthrowing a ruthless religious regime and put the princes on notice. They use their oil as a weapon against us. I think fighting back is only fair.

I think we'll do better to work on becoming energy independent from the Middle East than to pour yet another trillion dollars down the drain and kill another 100,000 people for a different set of headaches.

Tim, notice the tense of my first post regarding this subject. Now tell me where I am advocating yet ANOTHER war?

You said that we should have invaded Saudi Arabia instead of Iraq in the first place. You said nothing about starting another war. I said that we shouldn't start another war. I also believe that going into Saudi Arabia in the first place would have been as stupid and self-serving as going into Iraq was. We shouldn't kill people for our economy, and I don't buy for a second that that's not what our interest is there.
