I have debated the Santa thing for a while. I thought Santa was real when i was little. I didn't feel like my mom lied to me when I finally found out. It did explain why my nephew (who was 5 years younger) got a Power Wheel 4-wheeler for Christmas and I did NOT get a Barbie Power Wheel. My mom couldn't afford it. I understood then and felt better about it.

I don't think I am gonna do an injustice to my son for telling him about Santa. I will make sure he knows that myself and his daddy loved him enough to stay up all night putting his toys together and trying to make things happy and joyful for him.

I will def teach him about Jesus and the real reason for the season. We are starting a tradition this year to make Jesus a birthday cake on Christmas day and sing "Happy Birthday" to Him.

“They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence ... So these nations feared the LORD, and served their graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this day” (2 Kings 17:33,41).

The earliest protestants sought to rid themselves of the remnants of Babylon. Today's protestants seek to justify it. To whitewash an adopted pagan tradition, does not justify it.

God's people must once again be restored to a "pure language," because we are like the Israelites when they came from the captivity: we speak half in the language of Ashdod, and we have all but lost the old language.

With Christmas just ahead, and with its iron grip on our society, I imagine that none will hear the word of the Lord, but I would be remiss if I did not share it. If I be made your enemy because of the truth, then that is a burden I will have to bear.

Understand that I love you all, and share this because I know that (as innocent as it may seem) the idolatry that has infiltrated the Christian world will cause the wrath of God to come upon the children of disobedience.

I don't consider you an enemy. I appreciate being kept in check!

In some situations people's minds won't be changed no matter what is said! You just have to pray about it and do what you feel is right.

I love Santa myself, but I also remember learning about the original St. Nicholas when I was younger and appreciating how fascinating and good a man he was. Either way, I love 'em both.

No enemy here, I appreciate your input on this. It really does make since what you are saying.

Render unto Santa that which is Santa's and Render unto Jesus that which is His.

Merry Christmas.

i just find it interesting the lines that people draw. for themselves, I have no qualm, but when they make legalistic lines for others, that is the challenge.

as a different kind of example, some Christian folks will read and watch the lion, witch and wardrobe, and then refuse the Hp books and movies. they will celebrate Christmas and even have a Christmas tree, yet "satanize" santa. they will try to be puritan, but still use the days of the week, and months of the year. drawing lines for yourself and family is one thing, but extending that standard to others in accusation of lack of Christianity or "righteousness" is quite another.

I can eat the meat that was offered to idols; after all, they aren't really real anyhoots.
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling
