Mangini to the Browns...

Postby turbotim » January 8th, 2009, 9:09 am

I'm on board with a vision.... Here is the article.

That's interesting. I don't know if it will work. At least Romeo Crennel can coach under him. It looks like they are going to do that. He could barely make the playoffs in the division he was in much less a tougher one.

I wish Dallas could do the same. Demote Wade to DC and add Mike as head coach. But Jerry Jones has too much pride to admit that he doesn't know how to run a team.

Great pick for the Browns and it's going to cause rivalry in the AFC North. Not good for my Steelers!!!

Question: In 1994 Mangini is the ball boy and 14 years later he is a NFL head Coach for the same team. In fact he became a head coach 3 years ago so with 11 years in the league he moves from ball boy to head coach. Talk about a pay increase!

So what does ball boy pay and I wonder if the Titans need one?

I don't know about Crennel staying and that working out. That seems short-sighted to me. If he couldn't corral those guys as HC, how will he lead the defense when he's not the alpha dog? I don't know. I like Crennel, he's a good defensive coach, but I don't know.

Bama needs a DC (we have one, and he's okay, but it is really more of a title than actual authority) after Kevin Steele departed for Clemson. I wish Saban would dangle about $750,000 and lure him to Tuscaloosa.
