Jude 2 Virtual Church

Postby Poimen » January 9th, 2009, 6:49 pm

I thought it might be cool to look at ourselvs in light of our spiritual giftings, callings, and experiences and pretend we were an organized church instead of just an online fellowship.

Since it's my thread, I get to gide the direction of our "structure" and (obviosuly) choose the elder led congregational hybrid model for our purposes here.

First let's recognize all willing or active partipants and their callings:

1. Pastors/Bishops/Elders (if you don't have more than 200 posts you cannot be considered for active duty in this role, as you are still essentially a novice among us). of course, since PG is the founder, He gets 1st chair among the Board of elders/pastors.

2. Other preaching ministers of various kinds, and deacons (please stipulate which).

3. Worship/Song leaders, musicians, and special singers.

4. Tech savvy members

5. Hospitality, PR, and Ushers

6. Financially skilled or gifted individuals for assistance in the monetary care of church funds

7. Specializied ministries and aids (Misc. or other).

Which and what are you? Let's get a look at our psuedo church staff, shall we?!

I'll do anything except clean the toilets, take the nursery, or go to Africa. Anything besides that and I've got a willing heart.

Given my longevity, experience, background, and giftings, I will be willing to be the Pastor Emeritus./ General Overseer/ First Among Elders/

However, given my humility, I will be glad to be janitor.

Well. It Depends...

I probably fall in the tech savvy members .

But I have questions...

Is your SALT equipment state of the art/ Cutting/bleeding edge or
are we talking no instrument, no sound system kind of church.. No AV whatsoevr.

Also a lot of serious fasting and praying would have be done if there was Garden of Eden fruit embeded on the controlling equipment.

I am as the Airlines Industry calls us a (Person of Size) so If I am going to jump this ship of zion onto another I just would like for IT to be a bit larger and faster than what I am now.. If I rock the boat it may tilt way too much for me.

Offers accepted.

yes. whatever nobody else will do. I have had a couple decades of being in the "band-aide" ministry. Filling in where nobody else will do it, or can do it or wants to do it. Have a year or more experience in (nearly?) every ministry in a "full Gospel"/Pentecostal church (except senior pastor - so far).

edit - that includes, not joining, if others decide not to join because of allowing sinners.

Every church needs a Missionary to serve on foriegn fields. I am available, besides it keeps me away from all the internal strife
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.
