donuts

What are your favorite types and brand of donuts?

I love Dunkin and especially the ones that have Bavarian cream within and the holes.
There is a spot in Murfreesboro called Donut Country and they are the bomb. They bake everything fresh during the night and usually sell out every morning. Big donuts, many types, good stuff.

Krispy Kreme used to be my favorite but I ate too many one time...Now it's Dunkin. My favorite is jelly...In fact we went there tonite and had one with a cup of coffee. Good stuff!

Don't really have a favorite brand, but I whenever I do eat them, I generally go for the regular glazed or jelly filled. Don't really like the powdered. I always have accidents.

I used to get a Bavarian cream to eat directly and a sour dough to go with my coffee at Dunkin donuts. That was a phase. I haven't bought a donut for about a year, or so.

In my years of work at Flower's Bakery I have eaten all kinds, to many to list. Even the test types. I liked the honeybuns hot off the line  :)

If they are sitting on a tray on a shelf, I like Dunkin Doughnuts best. But there is NOTHING like a melt-in-your-mouth, hot, just-out-from-under-the-glaze-waterfall Krispy Kreme doughnut!

There ain't no donut but a Krispy Kreme donut. All others are just pale imitations. If the hot light is on, I like to go in, sit at the counter, get a big pint size jug of milk and chow down on a box of a dozen hot glazed. They just melt in your mouth.

I just made myself hungry.

Whoever came up with the "Hot" sign should be the focus of a special holiday.

I used to really love them but I'm just not hyped on them anymore. Don't know what it is but when folks from work ask if I want a Krispy Kreme, I have to pass.

Krispy Kreme is a fad to you Yankee types. To people where I live, it's a way of life. I've been eating them all my life.

donuts

Postby Dr. Ron » January 13th, 2009, 7:22 am

We used to sell 1000 boxes of donuts every Saturday to rasie money for our " Youth Aflame Choir"...Linda remembers those Saturdays.

We actually bought a few dozen for us to eat......I don't care for donuts anymore.

But it was a great fund raiser. I had to pick them up at 5 am on Saturday morning and we started from house to house knocking on doors by 7. We bought them for 50cents a dozen and sold them for a dollar.....

We made 500.00 every Saturday for many weeks to pay for our trips and to make an album. It worked.....

Kids should have to raise money for their activities.
