UGA is ranking in the 10 again. Now if they can just play on the field.

How is your school stacking up?

Recruiting is like the preseason top 25. OVERRATED!
If I were to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for business. I loved it, naturally.

But, I just don't like the whole process of these kids getting jacked up like celebrities, the whole staging of their choices, etc. ESPN has made it a public spectacle. And, as glad as I am that Bama ranks #1 two years running in recruiting (unless you count Scout -- which I don't -- or ESPN.com -- which I don't ----- purely arbitrarily of course), I wonder where Utah finished in recruiting 4 years ago when those guys that kicked our butts in the Sugar Bowl committed to be Utes. I love the whole thing about getting excited about recruiting, I don't like the staging, I do like the smack between fans about it, and I like to see these guys get a chance to succeed ...... and I like Bama getting love and props, etc. What I don't do is put too much stock in it for the future. Yes, we should be NC-competitive by the end of 2010. Will we? I dunno. Depends on these kids. And, no number of stars, no news coverage, none of that matters. Bama signed --- SIGNED, now --- a 5-star running back from Florida named Mike Ford about 3 years ago, I think. (Maybe 2?) Was the "it" kid. Never made it. Plays for USF, now. Academics jumped in, derailed him from here. He may be doing well now, I hope. Don't know. But, that's the point. You never, ever really know until they get wherever and do whatever they do.

Dale, everyone is an All-American on paper. The same year we recruited Steve Slaton (a 2 star recruit) we recruited a 5 star kid out of Virginia. He has been on and off the team at WVU Jason Gwaltley is his name. Pat White was a (2 star recruit as well), and we all know what he did. I think national signing day is a joke. A lot of hype about nothing. Rivals, Scouts, ESPN, etc., is just like the AP, Coaches Poll, and what have you polls on who you like rates you wherever.

I don't care where the class is rated, let's see how they produce in a couple of years.

The only school that I hope has a bust class is Michighan
