Griffey coming home?

Postby Paully_44 » February 12th, 2009, 9:42 am

Ken Griffey Jr should be back in a Mariners uniform by the weekend.

I was anxious for baseball to start up again, now I am really excited. I am sure hoping it doesnt fall through.

The Braves are going to have to rename their team the Geriatrics. Cox is 90 years old, Glavine is well over 40, Lowe is getting old, Vasquez may be 40, Griffey is 39, Hooters Jones is almost 40. I hope they can buy Icy Hot in bulk and I hope their team doctor is working full time this year.

It is a sad day for me. I can understand why he would want to stay and be closer to his family. Still...... I would have loved to see him here in Seattle again. I'll never forget watching him and his dad playing at the same time.

Now I bet that was a treat to see!

Fezzik, I agree they are some that are old, but at least it will make it interesting.

Willie Mays and Harold Reynolds were the reason Griffey came back, or at least played a huge roll in it. Pretty cool if you ask me.
