Markets keep tumbling

The DOW is below 7000 today, and there's no reason as yet to think we've hit rock bottom.

Meanwhile, the government is committing another $30 billion to AIG. THERE IS NO MONEY TO COMMIT!!

This makes all the flap about the Halliburton contracts look like pettiness. At least Halliburton was working for their money. We're so deep in corporate welfare it is sickning!

Depression/ recession/ inflation/ stagflation/ deflation ... I hope you are preparing for rough times.

As I said in another thread......Read RegieHamm.com blog this week. It says it all.

We have never seen the likes of this before. We gave an idiot the check book. He has already spent more than the Iraq war cost in 7 years.
He can't blame this on Bush.

Top business leaders are trying to prepare their companies to survive the market dropping into the 3000's. I have been involved in some high level meetings this year where this has been discussed. It has not even started to get bad yet folks.

Like Tracy said, plant a garden.

I like Regie's Blog, Ron. And he's dead right. If Obama made the speech he suggests and then follow through on it, the stock market and the economy would rebound immediately.

I've come to a conclusion though, and it's a sad conclusion. Obama, Pelosi and Reid don't care about the economy. They don't care that the stock market is through the floor. They don't care that home values are plummeting. They just simply don't care. If they cared, they would do things differently. As Regie said, every time Obama opens his mouth the market drops 300 points. If he cared, he would either shut up or say something different.

Here is what Obama/Pelosi/Reid care about. Power. Control. Making sure they and others like them will maintain power and control. They want control over the banks. Health care. Insurance. Wages. Private businesses. Carbon output. Education. Shoot, they even want to control the amount of salt and transfat in your diet (just look at the crazy laws they are passing in New York)

If you think Obama gives 2 craps about the economy, you are dead wrong. He loves this crisis. His chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel actually said, "Never waste a good crisis". They love this crisis because is give them the excuse to put into place the socialist welfare state they have been salivating over for years.

So, as Tracy said... plant a garden. I'll add to that though. Buy ammunition. Save what little money they will let you keep. Hunker down folks, because quite frankly, we're screwed.

Yes, we can find shelter in Christ for our souls, however, our bodies will still be in this world. We will have to endure all the traumas that come with that condition. Christ never promised a smooth ride, in fact He warns of the things that His followers will suffer for His sake. To think that because you are a Christian you are somehow protected from the damage this economic debacle will produce is to bury your head in the sand.

If you have any money left, Ammunition and gun stock should be up for now.
Im telling all my friends stock up on both guns and ammo--- Oh yes and some good fishing gear.

I dont know about where u live but where i live i am hearing that gun sells are up and more people are buying guns that never had them....like i said, im just hearing that , not on the news just some friends are telling me, so i dont know how true that is....are u hearing anything?
