OOooohh I watched the TCOG Assembly today!!!

On Public access. Don't ask me why. I think it was more suprise to find it a cable access show with someone else I am familiar with (Theres already a COGOP and an ex-COGOP pastor on CA).

Why is it on Louisville Public Access when---to the best of my knowledge--Louisville doesnt have any TCOG churches?

It was the Nabors TCOG and he was speaking the "general overseers" address. He did okay subject wise, speaking to a crowd of about fifty, mostly grey headed and one foreign guy with earphones who waved the plagarized flag nonstop for 30 minutes for no apparant reason.

Did I understand him to say that TCOG has a membership of 2500?
And they had grown 1000 the past year?

2500?

Really?

In the whole world?

I am surprised that Nabors group has that many but he may... Yes he changed the flag a bit by connecting the blue lines. That is not TCOG membership, this is his organization.

So I didnt watch THE The Church of God Assembly but I watched A The Chruch of God Assembly?

It's all so confusing. How many THE Church of Gods Are there now????

Usually, their assembly is scheduled around the end of August.

The COG with headquarters in Cleveland, TN holds its assembly every other year in Auguest. There is a non-pentecostal COG with headquarters in Anderson, Indiana. I believe Sandy Patti (sp?) is a member of that group.

The Church of God General Assembly (TCOG) is broadcast live by webcast during the assembly. This year, we are renting a new facility that is supposed to have top notch broadcast equipment..so the webcasts should be of higher quality this year. The Conn Center last year had a terrible sound system which made all the music distorted on the webcast.

If you wish to see last year's assembly ...(like you did last year

)...you can still go to www.thechurchofgod.org and see the archived broadcasts and eventually get the dates of the new Assembly which will be later in September I think.

He said that Tcog/Nabors has 2,500. I wouldn't know if that is true or not, since I'm not a member of Tcog/Nabors.

TCOG, of which I'm a member is over 20,000+ now. A ripple in the world-wide pond?

you want it back? I only started it when (and I don't think I recall telling this story previously) I was teaching a Sunday School Class about having eyes with splinters and 2x4's stuck in them. and that splinters beget splinters.

So....according to your analogy...you, yourself left the "beam" (Cog) and joined (merged) with a splinter (Cogop) ????
