Hello Friends

Many of you here on Jude 2 have been praying about my recent on set of back problems. I just wanted to let everyone know than on Friday, April 10 I will have to undergo surgery on my cervical spine (neck).

They found 2 ruptured disk between C5 and C6 and also between C6 and C7, C5 vertebrae is also dispaced and pushing against the spinal cord. C6 is also displaced, it is rotated slightly and setting at an angle closing the C7 root canal. Then C7 vertebrae is fractured. They will be removing the disks and fusing C5 and C6 and also C6 and C7 with titanium plates and screws.

I have never had any kind of health problems like this so I would appreciate all the prayers I can get.

I will be having the surgery in Chattanooga, TN at Erlanger Medical Center at 12:30 on Friday.

I will be praying for your surgery to be a success, and your recovery to be complete and short.

I have had C5-6 and C6-7 fused. The relief from the pain I experience was instantaneous, just had to eal with the surgical pain which was far less.

I will be praying for you I have had the same surgery, sorry you have to go through this if you ever need anything or have a question (from someone that has been there, and still there) just ask...

Hey guys, thanks for the prayers.

As for the question of "what happened", I wish I knew. I would imagine it has more to do with all the stupid stuff I have done all my life rather than any on specific incident. My Dr said that the straw that broke the back..LOL was the fall that I had last year. He seems to think the damage has occurred over my life time.

I guess it is my turn to realize that I am not indestructible. I have always been so happy to be the go to guy if you needed the heavy dirty work done but it seems as if my body is saying enough is enough.

One note...make sure you follow your Dr. orders post-surgery to prevent any complications; i.e not lifting more than they tell you, etc. You may "feel" better, but you need to take the time to heal that area properly.

So again, make sure you follow Dr. orders post surgery!

And also again, I will be praying for your surgery and your recovery.
