Question about Lee University

Postby pastorables » April 27th, 2009, 7:55 pm

Does anyone know if Lee University offers an online degree program? If not, any reputable universities available that offer such program for off-campus degrees?

Can't speak for Lee, but a NUMBER of reputable, fully accredited universities offer on-line (or MOSTLY on-line) degree programs.

Here's a really unique one: Western Governors University

Yep, and going thru the Tomlinson Center gets you a BIG discount. It's well worth it.

What degree program do you want to pursue? I do academic advising to get a paycheck, so I may be able to steer you in a good direction.

Phil Hoover, a former badgered Jude 2 member, used to work for the distance learning department of Lee. I can't remember his role--maybe recruiting officer, or something like that. Maybe he would have an interesting perspective. Phil can be contacted through his blog site: Something to Consider. Phil is an affable guy; I'm sure he would be happy to chat with you about it.

Phil Hoover, a former badgered Jude 2 member,

Badgered? That's rich.

Obviously you don't know, don't remember, or simply don't care about the whole story.

You'd never hear it from Phil. The guy is the best I've ever seen at not spreading negative gossip. I lived in Chicago for five years and we would occasionally get together. Negative talk about other people does not run through his blood. He was treated like crap here, but he refused to say anything but good about the people he knew from here.

Phil almost cost one Jude2 member his job by using info from Jude 2 to contact this man's employer and report him for "being mean" to Phil from a work computer. Mind you, this man didn't treat Phil "wrong", he just was giving back as much as Phil was giving out. That man no longer posts here because of the incident. He was reprimanded at work for using a work computer to particpate on Jude2. As a matter of fact, a few people quit posting because they didn't want their jobs threatened.

I know other people on here who feel they have been stalked when Phil got ahold of their phone numbers and would continue to call them or even show up at their house.

Treated like crap? Yeah, right. I was here, too, Tim. Try again.

Good for Phil. I heard it from you, not from him. And I know good and well the behavior of the hyena pack.

Oh, I'm sure you didn't.

As do I. I also know that some hyenas don't run in a pack.

Interesting stories... Gotta love it.. From what I've seen from Phil and from other boards, I can see where both the hyena pack and Phil probably transgressed..

Online drama.. Isn't it the greatest?
