Duking it out for denominational supremacy: E.C. McKinley drags down Earl Hazel by his jersey

Thought I would give you all an extra dose of humor two months prior to the 6th Annual One True Bride Championship Series.

For those new to the forum, the OTBCS is a simulation using the Nintendo Entertainment System game Tecmo Super Bowl in which I set the computer to play itself over a series of ten games and a playoffs. Eight teams representing various permutations of the Church of God family tree as popularized by RamboPreacher are represented each year. The international and state leadership of each church organization are represented on the simulated football field, as we all know for sure these guys would be winded after running about 50 yards (unless it was under the influence of the HG).

This year I decided to go above and beyond the call of duty and hack up a copy of the Tecmo Super Bowl, complete with names of each church denomination and their organizational leadership as players of each team. I made a video of the COGOP playing TCOG One Fold (Danny Carter's Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky permutation of TCOG) and COGOP waxed them thoroughly.

Check it out, I think you'll enjoy seeing David Bryan catch a touchdown and Danny Carter try to will his team to victory. Miguel Mojica even kicks a field goal for goodness sake.

Technical errors are that the NFL logos of the teams are still embedded in the game for some reason, and that some players that should be fair-skinned are dark and vice versa. I did change the COGOP jerseys to powder blue as an indication of the organization's move away from denominationalism, and I changed TCOG Carter's jerseys to red and purple in strict adherence to the church flag.

All I have to say about the result of the game is that TCOG Carter's defense sucks, presumably to maintain a jersey without spot or wrinkle.

Without further adieu, here's the shenanigans. You'll thank me tomorrow, and even later when I decide to use this hacked-up rom to determine who gets to claim the head seat at the wedding supper in 2009.

Heck, I'll even create a YouTube account to post the game videos as video responses to all those One Fold M&Is you can find on there.

Sorry to highjack, but does TCOG/Carter even exist anymore? Haven't heard much from them lately. Course, I haven't heard much from TCOG/Smith, or TCOG/Nabors or TCOG/NC......

I believe they're still around in one form or another. The 1Fold website is announcing the passing of one of their ministers.
