A'ight: Bama v. Va. Tech smackdown

Postby dolfan » August 31st, 2009, 3:54 am

Alright, any Hokie fans here, I say Roll Tide. Should be a low-scoring "slobberknocker" in Atlanta Saturday night. Lord knows last time we played there it was -- although we lost. 8) I think Bama can win this game, and I know they are a slight favorite. But, there are 3 games this year on our schedule that scare me silly, and this is one of 'em. (LSU and Ole Miss being the other 2 ---- I may have to add more as the season wears on. )

Being a BIG ORANGE fan I hope VT wins BIG!!!! Of course SoCal is gonna win it all. Championship game will be SC vs UT. I'm dreaming of course. :(

Behind the UW Husky's, USC is a close second to my favorite Pac-10 team... I forgot we actually had 1 team we shared a like for.

Why did y'all send someone down here to shoot one of D linemen? You lose a player so you'll even the injury report up, huh???? Brandon Deaderick got shot in the forearm last night about 10:30 in an apparent robbery attempt. They kept him overnight in the hospital, but he's expected to make a full recovery. Don't know if he'll play Saturday or not. Thankful he's okay.

Update: He's expected to be released today from the hospital. Saban says he's not concerned about his return to football right now --- which I translate as he'll play on Saturday with a cast on his arm.

Saban said today that Deaderick "obviously probably" won't play Saturday, whatever that means. :?:

Hope he will be okay, I hate to see these young guys with promising futures lose it when it isn't their fault.

He actually practiced today. Wore a no-contact jersey. He'll probably dress out Sat.,but I wonder whether he plays.
