Houston Nutt to Kansas U???

Postby dolfan » December 7th, 2009, 11:47 am

I knew he and the AD there weren't on the best of terms, but this catches me by surprise in about 10 ways. Pastor Ables, you heard anything on this????

I thought Turner Gill at Buffalo was the leading canidate.

Tim,

At this point, it's nothing more than a "strong rumor" very similar to the Auburn opening last season.... but anything is possible. The bad thing is that at this point Coach Nutt will not make a statement either way. I'm not sure why he would let this rumor fuel, unless he is jockeying for a raise or concessions in the athletic department?

It appears that Coach Nutt is Kansas second choice and he is willing to listen in the neighborhood of a $3 million deal. His dissatisfaction with the Ole Miss A.D. places his departure from Ole Miss as legitimate if Kansas offers.
