Information about re-installing Office 2007

Postby PastorP » December 28th, 2009, 2:01 pm

Will I be able to activate Office Home and Student 2007 after I format my HD and re-install the program? What will I need to do?

You will need the activation key or product key.
In the case that key will not activate the software you must call them for a new key. Just simply tell them what you have done [formatting harddrive]

For Micro$oft Office specifically, I believe some time ago that one could install it on up to three machines for personal use. Today I assume that's wrong, as I can find no documentation to back that up.
One key for one machine.

The Product Key is good for 3 installs.

It is on the front of the package. My concern is that I have activated the program on 3 computers. I was wanting to make sure that I could activate it on my notebook after I formatted the HD.

Then one phone call to Micro$oft Support to explain the situation has usually been sufficient to reset the activation limit

Pastor P,

I found a great utility that inventories your PC both hardware and software awhile back. May have been someone here on J2.

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

It takes just a few min to run. best if it has Internet available.

It generates a report that includes all hardware and software drivers etc.

Also the best is it records all of the MS Keycodes for you .
