Apparently (One Love) you are sensitive to this situation. It is bad and I pray that these families can be saved. It will take an act of God to preserve them.

Whenever unfaithfullness occurs, it hurts so many more than just the two involved. Children, employees, and many more. It has a ripple effect and it is hard to stop. This is not new to any of us and no one is immune. It seems to be worse when people are leaders in the church. Perhaps we hold them to a higher standard. Maybe that is something we need to realize is that this can happen to anyone...........

Well if you know this situation is sensitive and that you pray that these families can be saved... and since you acknowledge that nothing has been proven maybe... JUST MAYBE you should not be mentioning names.

you know since it has NOT been proven... that might be the WISE thing to do.

TC , Thanks for the advice. Since you live in Louisville, where these people grew up, then you probably know the TRUTH. Would you want to say that is it false?

Rascal.... first let me tell you this. it is not 'these" people. they are Children of God that may or may not have fallen short of the his plan. I will be the first to say I have fallen short more time than I care to think about. BUT as the saying goes... But for the Grace of God...

Yes I know the people being accused, some very well and some I have met a time or two. This man I have seen twice in my life, at the hospital when my grandmother was near death and at her funeral. He was a very nice man and was very respectful and helpful to our family at our time of loss.

The other people you mentioned are my family. He is my Cousin and She is someone I have known most of her life. People have asked me if I have spoke with them and if I know the truth. No I have not spoke with them about anything, just have not had the chance yet. BUT I do not need to ask them anything I know the Truth, they both Love God, Love each other and their family. I don't think either of them would have done anything that would hurt their family or anything that would hurt their walk with the Lord. To be Blunt I could see myself screwing up a lot easier than either of them.

But from what I hear (on this board) this man and his wife have separated and I don't see either my cousin or his wife turning away anyone in need. No matter what the need.

The problem I see is that so many so called Christians take such joy in the possible failings of someone. So many people that want to talk about things that may or may not have happened. So many people want to know the "truth" want to know the details. When God does not ask for details so why should we.

As I stated in the Pat Robertson thread, so called Christians is why people are rejecting Christ. It is not the Message, it is the Messenger

when some of the TV Evangelist of the 80's fell, I admit I took joy in it because I felt they had it coming. 20+ years later I realized that their sin was no worst than my sin. Except I did mine under the mask of being a self righteous Christian.

Since then I have seen more than my share of ministers fall and I realize that their sin is just more public than most of us. I pray that we all can remember that sin no matter who commits it can destroy who ever is around it.

How sad, that after all these years of splits, and divisions we still toss around titles like name badges. What in the world is he GENERAL OVERSEER of ? I pray for him and his family, and all that have been affected.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

Most likely the State of Confusion. Course, I said that about some others back in 93 when the whole split mess started.

But the State of Confusion seems to get more and more confusing as time goes on.

If Jimmy Swaggart can get away without following his church's disciplinary rules and going through the process AND retain his "ministry" by just leaving the denomination, then JN can too.
