What can BROWN do for you?

I complete enjoyed this small victory last night. Especially when Obama flew in on Air Force 1 and campaigned like a mad man for the Democrat...

And Scott Brown drove in on his person high mileage pickup truck and took the election via landslide especially considering it was Ted Kennedy's Senate Seat. The Democratic LION of the Senate. A state that Obama carried during his election by over 20 points.

Apparently Obama isn't the messiah any longer, eh?
Fantastic. Thanks Brown.. you delivered for me!!

Dazed Democrats rethink entire strategy

Scott Brown has turned this town upside down.

Scott Brown and Climate Change
http://www.opencongress.org/articles/vi ... ate-Change

..Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts’ Senate election seems to put the nail in the climate-change-bill coffin . “I oppose a national cap and trade program because of the higher costs that families and businesses would incur,” Brown’s campaign website states.

Take note of the policies that win in a blue state.

FIVE PERCENTAGE POINTS is NOT a landslide...

5 percentage points for a Republican in Mass, among the bluest of the blue states, when the POTUS came in to campaign against you, is a MANDATE.

Exactly as the rest of the political world knows...

Brown heads to Washington after upset Senate win
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100121/D9DC3EJ81.html

BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown, whose surprise win in the race to fill the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's seat created the sonic boom heard all the way to Washington, was visiting the nation's capital Thursday to pay a round of courtesy calls on his new colleagues.

... There was almost a "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"-like quality about Brown as he reflected on his win. Not only did he beat a better-known rival, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, but he did so in one of the most Democratic states in the country and in a battle over the seat Kennedy held for nearly a half-century.

******

Brown Delivers! I so enjoy this.

Does anybody know anything about this guy? Are we celebrating his election when we should be smacking our foreheads and saying "oh Lord, more politics as usual?"

I'm just asking. I never heard of Brown before now, and I don't know what he really stands for. Does anybody?
Why is it that bad decisions seem to make to most interesting testimonies?

I saw one news report where he posed nude for a popular female magazine.

If it had been a woman posing nude she would have never been elected to anything. I guess we still have the good old boy network in place.

I agree with Mike. I don't think we know enough about this man yet.

Edited:

OK, I just did a search for the above mentioned photo and I must change my statement! I now know "everything" about Mr. Brown. Warning! If you search for the photo be aware it is a complete nude photo. I don't think it's appropriate to post the link here.

Politics as usual? I think not for this state. See his key issues. ( I posted this earlier )
http://www.brownforussenate.com/issues

Things we know... he ran an independent conservative campaign in one of the most liberal senate seats. He stood on his own merit and didn't call in special favors like the Liberal candidate did, "Obama + Bill Clinton + Acorn etc"

The people understood that he was running a national campaign as well as a local campaign. He successfully ran against OBAMA's agenda and won essentially two battles.. local and national. Against HC, Against giving Terrorist citizen trials, Against Cap n Trade ( Global Warming Farce ), against Iran, Pro Israel, Marriage defined as man/woman, second amendment... and most importantly AGAINST the massive taxes Obama will be imposing on all American working families.

Business as usual? I don't think so.

The idea behind Brown is what he represents. A HUGE change in the political landscape and less about his personal photo history. America is a right center country and this individual was able to display that in the middle of a huge liberal area and surface the winner.

Yes it is ground breaking. What he proved is rewriting political handbooks.

This looks like the usual to me

Postby Who new » January 21st, 2010, 6:41 am

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Brown_(politician)

...refers to the currently legalized same-sex marriage in Massachusetts as a settled issue, which he does not wish to change.[14] Brown said he agrees with President Obama's positions on both anti-gay-marriage and pro-civil-unions.

...stated “Roe v. Wade is the law of the land, and does not plan to seek to overturn it.

That's centrist policy.

Hang your hat on that, ok? I'm sure several will disagree with him sometimes.. as I do with every other person on the planet at one point or another. This proves he is his own person.

BUT this doesn't change one iota what happened. Scott fully understands that even Massachusetts ( like America ) is center right and not left. He proved that resoundingly already.

This vote was a national referendum on Obama and his policies along with Pelosi and Reid. It's hilarlious to watch the extreme liberals now talk centrist (ahem)... watch them squirm as they are forced to move to the "center".

Thanks Massachusetts!!

So he's not really opposed to the administration's agenda, he's not even a Republican, he's just not a Democrat. I think I'll wait to see what he does before I start clapping.

Saw the photo. While it is revealing, it does not show "parts".

This probably comes under the heading of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)
