How prepared are you?

Postby Brian » January 26th, 2010, 3:35 pm

Just curious if any of you have an emergency backup of water and food and supplies? I have just recently started the project of putting together an emergency supply list and a nice first aid kit. I can't believe I am married to an RN, have a disabled 17 yr old, a 16 yr old girl, and 3 yr old tot and we don't even have a first aid kit at home!

Now Im not expecting a disaster to happen or anything, but if one did we would be up the creek! :P It doesn't seem to awful bad to stock a few extra supplies and what not. shouldn't be that expensive either, if I stay smart about it.

Just curious if anyone else did this. My father in law said at one time he wanted to build a bunker. thats extreme I know, but I have to say it would kick butt to have one! :)

All I need is my Buck knife brother. Haven't you been watching Bear Grylls?

We have snow coming but I'm not worried. I have my bread and milk already.

We are prepared. We have MREs and Sea Ration bars. Of course, we have a first aid/trauma kit. We have water purifying stuff and some containers.

MRE's = Meals Ready to Excrete.

I've eaten and excreted more than my fair share!!!

But they take a while to make it through the system.
