Apple boycotts Fox News

A two-week old report by the Washington Post is only now gaining traction in the tech section. It appears that Apple has boycotted Fox News...

Given that Fox has the largest cable news viewership in the US, Apple's decision to boycott them was no small decision, especially with the impending launch of the iPad.

is apparent to all who will open their eyes and see.

The entire "FOX" empire is riddled with incongruencies...."FAMILY GUY"....etc, etc....

But the "right-wing" fringe will swallow just about anything that FOX NEWS feeds them....

And it's sad...very, very sad.

There is a REASON FoxNews blows all other cable news outlets out of the water in every time period.

Exactly and what is amazing is that the larger media at hand.. still fails to see this simple fact ( or do and refuse ). They fail to model themselves after proven success and willing gleefully to continue a failed news business model at the entire networks expense. No, no.. it's not them.. it's YOU that are the problem. If this doesn't show you that these other dying media outlets are solely ideological in structure and reporting.. I don't know what will. They on purpose generate / twist simple news/events and report it as such to manipulate / line up with a specific agenda. Literally hyper inflating elements that don't exist and ignoring the LARGER pink elephant or gist of the news story that others CLEARLY SEE.

And in this case with Apple ( and other left leaning companies ) become subject to "corporate" community organizing, "corporate" peer & political pressure, or essentially being forced to choose the lessor of evils when the main focus should be on selling great digital products.

Who knows the contracts... from waste disposals to energy deals that are offered behind closed doors in support of this. Especially with AL GORE on the board of directors. By essentially supporting these bogus agendas they become subject to these self same power structures in the future.

My liberal friends and I talk about Fox news and laugh at it for the joke that it is. There are plenty of us who watch for the entertainment that the likes of Bill O the Clown and Glenn Beck bring to the human experience. It's like a car wreck that's too horrible to ignore. It makes for large viewership, not for agreement with world view. It doesn't mean we lack the critical thinking skills to know reality from their coercions. It's a huge leap to assume that there are throngs of people out there who believe a certain way just because they see it on Fox television. If someone were to believe a certain way because of selective media attention then then they wouldn't be any smarter than the medium they limited themselves to. It would be a ridiculous mistake to think the rest of the world believes that way because Fox reports big numbers.

You immediately diminish the effectiveness of your argument when you use a term you know is a demeaning sexual reference to refer to patriotic people who simply see things differently than you.

The same applies when pro-life (a term banned on NPR, BTW) people call people who believe in legal abortion "baby-killers." It is done to inflame and insult.

Same here! (I mean my conservative friends and I sometimes watch MSNBC and fall out of our chairs laughing at the blithering idiots so engorged with the Marxist kool-aid that they ignore news and spout Obama/Pelosi talking points. It is almost as if they are blinded to the point of view held by a huge sector of the American citizenry and are determined to aid in forcing upon them laws and regulations they find anathema.)

I would gladly get my news from Fox News any and every day of the week than listen to the drivel that comes out of the liberal lefts media outlets!

I think most people who are on the anti Fox News band wagon are just there because it's popular to be so. I am a fairly middle of the road guy. Every silly little political affiliate test I have ever taken puts me somewhere close to center or slightly Libertarian. But I can turn on Fox News and watch it literally all day long and enjoy myself quite alot. When I turn on MSNBC or CNN I can barely get through a single show!

I'm no fear monger, but there are in fact things to fear! Does Glen Beck get a little excited? Sure he does, but the context of what he says is spot on. Same for O'Riley and even Hannity. Fox News is leaps and bounds more fair and balanced than ANY of those liberal leftist leaning media outlets.....leaps and bounds!

I for one and sick and tired of the idea that anyone who watches Fox News is a brain dead zombie who can't think for themselves and must be spoon fed there ideological viewpoints. It just isn't so! You want to talk about zombies? Look at Obama Zombies

Phil, it's not about ideology here... it's about overall honesty or valiant attempt to get to that. This is why the ratings are so high.

Nothing is ever perfect and nobody is expected to be ( at least not from me ). This is what is being rejected by the other media and why they are attacked, impugned, & misaligned and succeeding leaps and bounds at the same time.
