Moving to Corsicana, TX at the end of this month. About 45 mins south of Dallas. Say a prayer for us.

...because?

Job transfer? Ministry opportunity?
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

My wife's family is all there. And we are going to buy a house from her sister.

We've been wanting to move back to that area for a while, but the timing was never right. But now the kids are out of school, one will be starting high school next year, and the other will be starting kindergarten.

I will actually be looking for a new job, but we have enough finances set aside to make it for 6 months and I already have an interview set up for when I get there.

There is not a COGOP in the area I'm going to, I think the closest is an hour away and a spanish speaking congregation. So I'm not really sure what I'll be doing in the ministry yet. I've been in touch with the State Overseer. We "might" start a gathering in our home/yard and consider planting a new work.

Otherwise, we're making the move to be close to my wife's family for now.

You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

Thanks Mac, we intend to do this first...and IF we planted a work we would continue to worship somewhere...not really sure right now what will happen. Just know that is where we are going and praying about everything else.

When are you planning to move? I will be in Kemp Texas the first week in August ministering at River of Life church. I speak into the church there and visit it about once a quarter.

Would love to meet you in person.

I'll be there by June 25th. Maybe we could meet for lunch or I may come to River of Life. We'll stay in touch. None of my electronic contact info is changing.
