Note to Dawgs. The NATION / STATES ARE BROKE.

1) "Party of No" - It's a huge difference between restoration, solving a bankruptcy problem, aligning a shining star model back into place, Honoring the men and women that gave their lives for the liberties we take for granted etc. -- and just being against. That repeated argument carries no water here.

2) "The Gimmie Mentality" - Learn this life lesson. You work hard for a $100 and you cherish it and thoughtfully determine how it should be spent. Next.. someone gives you a $100 and you will spend it so fast without a second thought. This is what I'm hearing from you constantly. I ( dawgs ) will not vote for anyone that doesn't plan on GIVING me something free. You didn't work for it.. so it's FREE. Again.. I will must say that this is EXTREMELY insulting to a person of values, morals, that honors hard work and reward. Individuals with your mentality are easily PURCHASED off with promises of gifts, luxuries you didn't work for etc. in exchange for your freedoms, national solvency, personal rights. Because it's the RIGHT THING TO DO... OR as long as I GET WHAT I WANT.... the rest of the Future Generations that follow me can be doomed to pay back what I got for FREE... because it's all about "me". Our Grandkids can be enslaved under incredible DEBT to China, Russia, [ enter USA Debt holder here ] as long as I am happy today. My perks and gifts today TRUMP anything else.

Just like Samuel Adams stated above...
"No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign invaders." - Samuel Adams

Again.. keep telling yourself whatever makes you sleep well at night.. knowing it's no free ride. Either you work and pay for your own or leave that terrible legacy on to your Grandkids.

you got this all wrong my friend. tea partiers or republicans are not against reasonable, fare, and equal taxation. I will glady pay my fair share of taxes but I don't want to be over burden with undue overwhelming tax either!

I know what the tea party folks are against. (any form of tax or regulation) that goes to things that are not needed such as medical care, roads, and schools. could someone tell me what they are for?

We are for local and state govt. along with states rights.
We are for lower taxes across the board including a repeal of the death tax.
We are for securing the borders.
We are for eliminating dead beats and illegal immigrants from welfare, etc.

There are 4 points for you.

If Liberals were really as for regulation as they claim then why do they speed on the highways from time to time? Why do Liberal celebrities go on TV and use foul language, reveal their bodies, etc.

Speed limits are govt regulations If you are for them then why break them?

There are regulations in place about what one can say on TV and radio yet these celebs, Bill Maher, spew out vile things left and right all the time.

No one wants to be regulated, not even Libs but Libs want to regulate everyone else.

Libs want Wall Street regulated. Fat cats shouldn't be making so much money. Well I think Clooney and Pitt should work for free on every new film from here on out and the tickets to their movies should be free. Time for profits will come later or better yet they have already had plenty of time for profits. "There comes a time when one has made enough money" ~ President Obama

i will not vote for a liberal. they dont have a clue. but i will not vote for the party that dont want to agree with anyone. lower taxes wont pay off a bill. it would be like saying i need a lower income job to pay for my house. humm dont make sense does it. so, lower taxes, that will help the deficit, what else are the tea party people for, lets see, securing the boarders, ok that will take a wall and more people on the state and federal payroll, humm dont seem to cut back any and with lower taxes what will we pay with. dead beats and illegals from welfare. ok that makes sense, wait that is common sense, give me something that helps the economy, give me something that takes care of those people that have been paying into social security all of there lives and now may not have it, give me something that helps with medical and insurence abuses. i am hearing nothing from the tea party that would make me think that they care about any one other than the top 1 percent. give me something guys. you cant because the secret agenda is to take us back to the days before the depression when people were denied the right to organize, when people were being killed on the job at high rates because of no osha regulation, when people were being paid with tabs to the company store. while a very small amount of people were getting rich. thats the secret. back when if you were black you could not eat next to a white guy in the south. why, STATE RIGHTS. secret code words. people that are honest, hard working folks that have a brain can see right through it. and will during the general elections. i just hope it will not result in alot of dems, with no morals being elected.

take my sentence into context and you will find that raising taxes, and spending less on world domination would create money to be able to take care of our own. build roads, build bridges, provide a health care program that works. you know, treat people like people and not numbers to be cast away. just listened to neil covuto on fox defend BP. thats what kind of bull the tea party is for. (state rights). so that if you dont like the minority right or wrong you stay in control. the people with the money run the world. thats what state rights mean. its code for raciasm, unfair corp. practices, and the fat man gets more fat. Travis Trent had it right, Lord have mercy on the working man. we are gonna need it.

Wow.. Racism? Code Words Secret Groups? Smells like serious hatred spewing forth here for a simple thing called Responsibility? More intense Kool-Aid is all on your drooling lips and shirt. Wow.

But.. Brother.. whatever makes you feel justified in voting for empty gimmie promises that endanger our nations future... BUT lets you sleep better at night. Go right ahead. At least you GOT SOMETHING, eh? Good for you... you are entitled, owed it, [ insert radical social redistribution words here ]

Question: How are you going to look your grandchildren in the face and say.. "We took great care of this nation - we got it sound from our forefathers and now we pass it onto you totally bankrupt... but at least I got my GIMMIE. I got my FREE stuff that allowed me to work a little less and direct personal responsibility"

Such a shame.

It's time to clean up both houses and take PERSONAL responsibility for our own actions with the principles I posted earlier in this thread.

God Bless

And I think a part of the problem has been the overall reluctance of the pulpit to address politics. This was not the case in the early days of our country.

In nearly twenty years of ministry I have experienced that some of the most "out-of-touch" (inept and misinformed) are sitting in pews (or 'chairs' - lol) within the church.

However, I am excited to see that pastors and ministry represented on this board and working to change the political climate within the church.

And, on a personal soap box, why do I have to declare to you what I am? Liberal or conservative. Democrat or Republican. Reformer or Traditionalist. Why can"t I just say I am a Christian and let that speak for me?

actually dawgs, what he did was quote you directly, word for word. you just don't like how it sounds coming back at you because it sounds like ugly politics. take from this one and give it to that one. thats ugly, thats theft, thats wrong. He merely used your exact words.

dawgs10, I'm not getting on your case or anything. I can see that you feel very strongly about things politically, and that is a good thing. However, I must ask if you have ever read the Constitution of the United States? By that I don't mean the "reading" you do in high school where you skim through it for social studies, but really sat down and read the full text garnering the full meaning of what was written. It is painfully obvious that you do not have any concept of what is the Constitutional form of government. You don't seem to understand that our forefathers knew that the government that governs the least, governs the best. Please, before you set off on another tirade sit down and read the document.

the Constitiution has been amended 27 times. i would advise you to read it before you try to defend a way of thinking that fosters racism, and a form of confederate rebellion that supports "strong state rights" .
