What a beautiful family! They all look very happy. I know that's a credit to you and your wife. Are we going to get to see them at the Jude2 gatherings...so they can meet there extended family members? :) Hope so, they are all so cute!

Unfortunately....with the price of traveling...it'll probably just be me and my oldest son....he's my sidekick in the ministry and basically goes where I go.

The whole family may come up for the Friday, Saturday portion...but I'm not sure.

The whole gang

Postby Dr. Ron » July 15th, 2008, 6:11 am

As the grandson of an adopted grandfather (we have no clue who we are) and as the grandfather of adopted grandchildre, may I say you and your wife have joined my hero's list. You are to be commended......or committed!!!lol

Seriously, I thought the darker kids looked more like you....lol

You will be blessed much by your unselfish devotion.......

May I have your permission to use this photo in my sermon Sunday? I am preaching a series on "One month to Live" . We are talking about values and principles.

Feel free to use it.

Yeah, I like to tease my wife, someone will say are these your children and of course we say yes. Then I add "Don't they look just like their mother" (while pointing at my wife)

It leaves folks not knowing what to say.

He didn't jump :? ....they were afraid of scaring the baby.....I've been 3 times now and some of our kids haven't....I wanted him to jump out and was disappointed that he didn't.

But I'll tell ya, the first time he got my whole family!!....the second time he got the kids that hadn't been.

So I feel ya....had to change my underwear on the first visit.

Having been in foster homes when I was younger, I really appreciate what you and your wife are doing.

Any idea on how I could locate a former foster parent? Is there any type of network or something like that? I have tried unsuccessfully before and would like to be able to contact the family that kept me, one of my sisters, and two brothers for a period of time. We lived in FL at the time.

And then there was Facebook!!! I found them!

Daniel, I went to lunch at a little buffet joint today with 4 other lawyers and the wife of one, child of another and sister of another. I sat down with my back to a high chair where a biracial toddler was eating with his very white grandmother. She looked real strangely at me and I said, "Ma'am there's a whole bunch of lawyers about to sit down right here and we've been known to eat babies." She laughed and said, "You'd spit this one right back out." Got me.
