I have never been to a Tea Party Rally, and, from what I have seen on TV there was a pretty diverse crowd with a variety of issues... anti-Obama, anti-Tax, Pro-Border Enforcement, Pro-Flat-Tax, and a few of the kind of crazies that show up at any public protest (and some pentecostal churches).
The common element I saw was people in terror of what the nation they love is becoming. I earned the right, as a Vietnam Vet, to say I did not put on a uniform and serve in the struggle against socialism and communism just to sit by and see us surrender the country to those ideologies one notch at a time.
I would say what you see is about right. many are very scared and are voting that way. all i am saying is maybe we should put the brakes on and really think about the people we are supporting. and yes you did earn the right as a Vietnam Vet to say what you are saying. i dont think things should be given away to people that dont deserve them. but i do think we should take care of those that we can take care of. and you do to. i just take it a step beyond that and say but if people will not give and help in a country that has been so good to so many than they should not be treated they same as others. they should get out or grow up.
