pray for me today

Postby Full Quiver » July 14th, 2010, 3:59 am

Guys, I thought Monday was the worst day of my life but today is no better. Silas is 8 years old today and I can't even call him to tell him I love him. I cannot stop crying. I cannot live this way, something has to break.

I remember vividly the day he was born. He was our second homebirth. Three ladies from church were there to assist. Wen was in labor all day long and Silas waited till nightfall to appear. I was so afraid things wouldn't go well since the mid wife couldn't be there. The docs had said he would weigh over 12 pounds. He weighed in the next morning at around 9 pounds 6 ounces if I remember correctly. Somehow I wish I could just go back to that place in time.

Please lift me up in prayer. I feel so selfish for asking but I am hurting so bad.
I have piped unto you, and ye have not danced!

Never feel sorry when asking for prayer...consider it a priviledge to have people that care enough to call your name out in time of need... Praying throughout the day...

Absolutely. Btw.. If you don't have a video recording device.. borrow one, buy it at the pawn shop, Wal-Mart etc. You can even get a video recording device for your computer and burn to a CD/DVD. They are a dime a dozen. Don't wallow in the fear and misery because that is what the enemy wants you to do. Be proactive and show you kids you are going to still be the Father you want to be.

On Video.. Document everything you just said here in detail and speak directly to your son and tell him how proud and how glad you are to be his dad and congratulate him on his amazing Birthday. Be very up beat and proud reflecting on his accomplishments. Let him know you have presents waiting for him when this is over. Don't wine about this situation you are currently in... because it's about HIM today and THIS BRIEF SEPARATION WILL SOON PASS - TRUST ME.

Repeat this for all the special occasions you want to highlight or make new ones for the future. The point is to NEVER BE BITTER, SHOW YOUR KID YOU ARE AND WERE THERE, TEARS of JOY are fine as it relates to being proud of them and regardless...... JUST LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear...

Burn this above into your head and kick this fearful overwhelming enemy out. This has absolutely nothing to do with GOD. It's 100% the enemy.

Praying.

agree with CNDLOU - there is nothing, and i mean nothing, bad or wrong about a request like that. of course it is "selfish", but that doesn't make it wrong. a daddy hurrting and wanting to be with his child, missing him is natural, normal and to be expected. I empathise with you, FQ.
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling

Just open your hands and receive what God has for you today. The way to reign this day is to simply receive. Receive the FREE GIFT of righteousness and overflowing abundant undeserving Grace. It's already yours by inheritance.

Romans 5:17 (New International Version)

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

I was able to see 4 short videos of my kids tonight. Silas opened his birthday gifts and all of them opened some goodies I got them for camp such as shirts, supplies, etc.

For once I have had a bit of happiness. :D
