stevenson wrote:In defense of "thatonegirl", society is very prejudice against men in general. If you have ever dealt with child support, visatation laws, judges, etc.. you'll find out very quickly that the scales of justice are not fair when it comes to men.

Society has for several years tried to emasculate men. You hear things like "they need to get in touch with their feminine side" and such. When really men need to get back to being men and women need to be women.

The way "thatonegirl" posted is very typical of the way society thinks today. If you say the word domestic violence most people think of the man as the offender and the woman as the victim.
believe me, I do understand the predjudice against men. BTDT, and not ust once. :( If anyone has a reason to say that "all women" are evil, I could. but I don't. :)

I don't say that women are evil. I love women so much that I even married one! LOL! The system is what is evil. And unfortunately men made the system.

I don't blame the femenist movement. Men caused all this biasness and trouble themselves.

Deep thoughts.

This is much deeper than this and I'm not sure I can explain it in fast simple terms. I'll take a stab without paragraphs...

1) It's not Men or Women it's the Enemy.
2) Men are systematically being destroyed, devalued, replaced, impugned in our Culture on all fronts.
3) Nobody is going to benefit from this. Everyone will suffer. WOMEN, CHILDREN, FATHERS.
4) The RESULT is... The Father image is being destroyed from the inside out. If you have no father image.. it makes it extremely hard to relate to your heavenly Father. His extreme GOODNESS, His extreme SELFLESSNESS, His extreme PATIENCE, His extreme KINDNESS, His extreme LOVE and MERCY that endures FOREVER.

Hope you get the gist. Much deeper indeed and it breaks my heart. We need a restoration of the FATHER Image.

Something one of my professors once said:

"God made man out of dirt. Dirt is soft stuff so man had to be toughened up by working the land. God made woman out of bone. Bone is hard stuff and women had to be softened by childbirth." Just what I thought of while reading some of these. Take it for what it's worth.

Can't stand the feminist movement by the way.

I agree that it's the enemy ..... plus us. We're all too willing to be lead by the nose into whatever. But, this is a spiritual issue to be sure. The culture is what it is, and it will never be anything better. The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Lord help us.

I don't blame it all on the enemy either. We bore most of the blame.

It's like this. The devil tempted Eve but ultimately it was her decision to believe the devil and not God.

Men many years ago started giving up their role, quit going to church, stopped being the priest, husband, father that God called us to be. We allowed society to feminize us. We allowed the feminist movement.

It's the same as: who allowed prayer to be taken out of schools? The enemy or christians?

Yes He did!

He also prayed "Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven".

Why do we preach that it's all doom & gloom here until we get to heaven? He came that I might have life and have it more abundantly. Not when I get to heaven but now. I may not have 2 nickels to rub together but I have an abundant life!

And with all that as christians we should stand for social justice and Biblical truths.

Is God's will Social Justice in your quote above? Read Matthew 11:1-11. John was offended that Jesus didn't come for immediate social justice and clean house, eject the Romans, make the evil wrongs right and set the Nation back on the straight and narrow.

After hearing of Jesus REAL ministry... he was confused.. and from prison sent two of his own to ask Jesus "Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?" Jesus then shows them with restorations and healing and states, " And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me."

Then John 3:17 says "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."

So many, many examples...

Brother.. not sure where you got doom and gloom from Jesus not coming for social justice. I fully subscribe to immediate abundant life as a Son. I'm an heir with Christ! The GLORY that Jesus has I have. He gave it to us! I am seated with Him in heavenly places next to OUR HEAVENLY FATHER. Beautiful.

Understanding that we are all destined to be just like Jesus which is at the CORE showing the correct image of our heavenly Father. This is why he was crucified on the cross. He represented a GOD that was different than what established religious order said existed.

I stand for the restoration of the Father's image as Jesus came to do and as my post states.

God Bless!

I think we're just gonna have to shake hands and disagree. But i will respond to some of your answers if I may?

I don't see where John the Baptist was offended or confused. I think John may have had some doubts. John had proclaimed Jesus as the lamb of God but had not personally witnessed his miracles. Also, the Jews were expecting a Messiah who would free them from Roman control. Jesus didn't fit that mold so, in prison, John had time to think and entertain doubts. He began to hear about the works of Christ, and may have wondered why Jesus didn't, through some miracle, deliver him from his imprisonment. So he sent two of his disciples.

I think it was like the scripture says, "I believe, help thou my unbelief".

Jesus didn't judge the world at that time because that wasn't His mission. But when He returns He will judge. We are also not called to judge the world. But many people take that out of context. In context it means "we don't condemn people to hell". But that doesn't mean that we don't judge sin! Even Jesus did that. He told Peter "get thee behind me satan". He told the woman at the well that she was in sin. He told the woman that they brought befor Him the same thing. He judged sin but not the person.

I know about christian socialism. That's where the "WWJD" came from, the YMCA and so on.

I'm not endorsing christian socialism. I saying that christians should stand up for social injustices. A good example is racism. MLK, Jr took a stand against racism while many of the churches took a back seat on the issue.

I was listening to Glenn Beck the other day. He said every great reformation has started with a preacher that stood up.
