Yet they remain quite separate...

Integrity is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcomes.

Loyalty, is faithfulness or a devotion to a person, country, group, or cause.

Example on how they quickly separate:
An individual can have Loyalty to a group that has Integrity. Yet you can possess no Integrity if you have blind Loyalty alone.

Yes, they do remain separate concepts.

Many in Hitler's Germany were loyal to the "causes" of Hitler...even when they realized that he was trying to destroy an entire race/class of people. Integrity was demonstrated by Bonhoffer and Niemoller among others...who opposed what was being done, and spoke out for what was not EXPEDIENT, but for what was RIGHT...

RIGHT must always trump loyalty.

Integrity is

Postby Phil Hoover » August 18th, 2010, 4:18 am

doing the right thing...even when it is not "in my favor" and I stand nothing to gain from doing the right thing.

Integrity is doing the right thing even if I stand to LOSE because of my stand for what is right.

Loyalty is a very fluid concept, most of the time.

Many years ago someone told me that being "loyal" means telling someone something they may not want to hear...because it is right...

I want to always be a man of integrity.

Ah.. yet one is greater as the thread proposes. Your loyalties are fluid and can change based on positions of life out of your control (age, jobs, relocations, deaths) without effecting whatsoever your Integrity. If you have personal integrity you will put that before blind loyalty.

So Brother are we not thrilled, blessed, essentially relieved concerning Covenant to know that our God has the highest Integrity of all? So much that He could not swear by anyone... except himself!

As Hebrews 6:13-14 states;
13. When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14. saying, "I will surely bless you...

Fantastic!!
