Because for some strange reason

Postby Phil Hoover » March 15th, 2010, 10:41 am

this is where the LORD chose to relocate me back in the fall of 2000. I came with one intention, completely unaware that GOD had other purposes for me being here.

CHICAGO is home for me.

I was born and raised in the Huntsville ALABAMA area, but that will never be home again...

Every time I visit, I usually enjoy it...but it just isn't home....CHICAGO is now home for me.
There is a ROCK between me and a hard place. His name is JESUS.

Shows how long I've been away. TN is home for me. Born in CA but wouldn't ever want to live there again. Moved to TN when I was 16(1971) and it's been home ever since.(except 6 years in Navy and 2 years in OR) Only other placed I'd want to live is Australia.

Well I grew up in Wilmington, IL, just south of Chicago enough to be into the corn fields and out of the city. we moved around a little as I was growing up, generally gone for a summer and back, at most half the school year in southern IL and half in Stanton KY, but mostly stayed in Wilmington.

I came to KY for College, most of my family is here, and Mom & Dad would be retiring to KY soon, and I've been here ever since. This is home now, and while I've wondered at times if God would ever take me back that direction for ministry, haven't considered anywhere else, but you never know what God will do!

My wife has always said she loves the Ocean (born in FL) and loves the Mountains, so she's always dreamed of living on an island, so Hawaii is probably her choice, and after spending time with Gary at Assembly, I think my daughter's up for that too!

I missed this post the first time around. It was the week I was in the hospital.

1st 9 years Charleston, SC
2nd 9 years Fayetteville, NC
1 week in High Point, NC Camp Maranatha
2.5 months in Greensboro, NC
9 months in Cleveland, Tenn.
5 months back in Greensboro, NC
1 year in Colorado Springs, Col
34 years in Greensboro, NC.

I really like Greensboro, NC,

We are 3.5 hours from one of the most popular beaches on the East Coast, Myrtle Beach, SC.

We are 3.5 - 4 hours to the Smokey Mountains.
5 hours to Washington, DC.

Greensboro is a college town. I think we have 6 -7 fairly good sized colleges & Universities.

Its also where my kids and gkids live now.

Its big enough to be a big city but small enough to get around with out to much traffic congestion.
