My granddaughter has an Ipod.. She uses Itunes to purchas music etc. She had a Dell tower but for christmas she got a dell laptop..

When she connects her ipod up to the new laptop with Itunes loaded it wants to sync her IPOD up with the empty fresh copy of Itunes on the laptop.

????????

Suggestions.

I am copying the Itunes folder from desktop to laptop now but not sure if that is correct..
and its going slow.. going to bed.

Are you saying you don't want it to sync? If so you can disable the auto sync, here is a site to help.

Answer to your question.. Yes and no..

Yes we want to sync up to my library..

But if you plug an ipod up to a NEW Fresh copy of itunes with an empty library it will delete what is on the ipod to match what is on the computer.

I think the fix you pointed me to will fix the problem.
