On the lookout for a good deal on one, HD if available. Like all church related purchases, money is an object. :lol:

If you have tips on one, give me a holla.

Dolfan the budget makes a big difference and understand that Money is an object.

We were blessed a year ago with a Sony HDR FX7 camera. sort of.
Someone paid half and the church had to match there offer..

I had two HDR FX1 they are exceptional cameras when you know all the tricks and what they can do. Sad to say they were stolen when theives broke into our room while we slept in Uganda and made off with them, along with money, passport, mac computers, external hard drives and tons of video stored on the hard drives.

Would love to get a few more myself.

Not sure exactly what the need is, but I have shot a LOT of pretty good HD video on my iPhone.

We want to shoot some videos related to the Radical U ministry. Some teaching videos that are about 10-15 minutes long each and outline some basic principles underlying the ministry. They play before testimony service (called "First Talk") at the opening of each Friday night's service. (For examples, you can YouTube Reformers Unanimous 10 Principles). We could use the canned videos from Reformers U, but the guy doing them is now deceased and we want to be able to stay current with them over time, so we have pretty well decided to do our own. Plus, there are some other creative things that the youth pastor wants to do, so it would be multi-use. Looking for HD professional camera.
