Email I got today from TW' sister

Postby Susie Hamilton » August 2nd, 2011, 12:34 pm

Monday, 8/1, was a tough day for him but today, 8/2, he is doing better. Monday morning the nurse told me on that on Sunday they had to place another chest tube in him and he wasn't doing very well. I spoke with his nurse today and she said they still haven't made a decision about about transferring him to Erlanger Hospital but that he seems a little better today, PT had him sitting up on the sideof the bed for a little while. I am going to call late this afternoon and try to talk to him.

Please thankeveryoneon J2 for their prayers and ask them to continue to pray for him, he has a very long way to go.
To God be the Glory.

I just spoke to his nurse and she told me they did not remove his chest tubes today. He had a good morning, was up and sitting in a chair of 1 1/2 hours and off the BIPAP machine all morning but lunch time his oxygen levels started dropping again anf they had toput him back on the machine. They are going to try to remove the tubes tomorrow.
To God be the Glory.

email from TW's sister update

I was able to speak with him on Sunday evening for about 5 minutes. He sounded a little better. It is very hard, if not impossible, for him to answer the phone in his room. The nurse was in his room when I called.

I spoke with his nurses today and they all think he has improved a little, he still has the chest tubes in, he is using the BIPAP but not as much as last week. He is eating better and they have been getting him out of bed every day for a couple of hours. Not sure when they will try to remove the chest tubes, but I did find out that they can be left in for quite some time.

I feel our prayers are being answered and I know that God is taking care of him.

Thank you to everyone and please keep him in your prayers.
To God be the Glory.

I contacted Pastor Ronnie Meeks at TW's old church here in town.
I have piped unto you, and ye have not danced!
