Restore system to Dell Dimension 5100C

Postby PastorP » October 13th, 2011, 5:02 am

Does anyone have knowledge about a Dell Dimension 5100C? Does it have a Shadow Drive to use to restore the computer to the setup that came with it when it was new or will we have to use the setup disk?

Thanks, the computer belongs to a friend and we found out that not all of this particular computer had the shadow drive, this happens to be one of them. Restore disk are not ordered.

Wonder why I quit using Dell products?

Yep, I worked on my sisters Dell laptop that the hard disk got to hot and corrupted the system files. I tried the recovery parition and got it to work, but it lacked many of the device drives which I had to download.

Well as you may know it wasn't long before she called me again. This time I had to replace the hard disk and I order the systems disk.

I come to realize that Dell's not alone with issue there are Hp, emachine, gateway...That's why I build my own.
