No-hype, youth-led revival

Postby Pastor Gary » November 15th, 2011, 1:51 am

We are experiencing something pretty wonderful at REUNION. Like any church, we have had our struggles and our victories. We have had some leave us because they either didn't share the vision of the house or thought we were moving too slow. (Aloha means "goodbye" also). At the same time, God has been a work.

We are placing most of our time and resources into developing emerging leaders, and one young woman who went through Discipleship Training with YWAM returned and started our own DTS. They met as a core team of young leaders for weeks developing the school, praying and planning, and the 6 week (2 nights a week) school has been the center of a youth-led, Spirit-initiated, no-hype, genuine Pentecostal revival. Sunday night there were several filled with Holy Spirit and this group is radically engaging the city. They go into the mall and pray for direction about who to approach and have seen store clerks, restaurant workers and shoppers pray with them and accept Christ in the mall. They pray for healing in public venues. We will gain a new drummer for the worship band this Sunday as a result of this group.

Revival. Real revival.

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

That is more than amazing! Makes me glad all over again just to be a part of the kingdom.

Naturally I am excited by true and genuine Revival, but my radar goes crazy on statements like this prodding me to ask questions.

What is meant by "vision of the house"?

Is this just Mystic-Speak for "A bunch of us in command got together and decided to do X"?

Why was a "vision of the house" adopted that would force people AWAY?

How was a "vision of the house" obtained?

Is this part of that NEW HOT WITH-IT stuff called "Vision Casting" and we did it to so we can be NEW HOT and WITH-IT (even if it drives people away)?
